Who We Are

The Caseyville Public Library system is located at 419 South Second Street. The Caseyville Public Library provides free services to all residents living within the library district boundaries with services available to all others for a fee.

The library system holds over 40,000 materials including over 38,000 books, and 2,000 compact discs, cassette tapes and books on cassette. Over 100 CD-ROMS are also now available for check-out.

In total, over 75,000 items were checked out of the system during fiscal year 2006-2007. In addition to these items, several thousand people entered the library to utilize print and electronic reference resources, access the Internet through the Library’s fiber-optic connection, view a Library exhibit, or attend one of the Library’s events.

Our friendly and professional staff is eager to serve you. Welcome to the Caseyville Public Library!

Our Mission

The guiding principles for your library

The mission of our library is to serve the needs of our patrons through information services.  We do this through reference assistance, the supply of books and other materials, and miscellaneous services such as computer support, copy service and other necessary functions.  We constantly add to our collection in order to keep up with the changing demands of our public, and will continue to do so as long as we exist as an economic unit.
