Metro East Guide to Pride 2022 by Caseyville Library

Happy Pride Month! Let's celebrate with events near and a bit farther away. In this list you will find something for yourself or family members of any age. Read along with a fabulous Drag Performer at the library or watch a show while out with friends. Learn about LGBTQIA+ history, culture, and activism and pay tribute to those who came before us. Most of all we will celebrate our diverse identities, expressions, family structures, and the PRIDE in being ourselves!

Your Caseyville Library is here to celebrate with you in June and support you year round! Come in and check out stories featuring LGBTQIA+ characters and families or read about the history of Pride and the amazing folks who paved the way for us to create a better world.

You can also come to the library for a sense of community or to gather local resources. You can even speak to a library social worker to get connected to services, programs, jobs, and more!

Be sure to visit Caseyville Public Library District to check out the newest Rainbow Reads in our Pride Display. More books are available for checkout in our Catalog.

Did you know Caseyville Library was the first public library in the metro east to offer a Drag Queen Storytime? Watch this video to see the lovey Chasity Valentino read for last year's Pride!
